Another trip to Utah

Okay! our last trip to Utah was to help Emily and Justin move to their new place. It was fun to hang out for a few days, and I love getting to see them! Plus, Tytan had lots of fun! Here's some pics -

Jake and I went out on tuesday; our first date just Jake and I since Tytan was born!! it was great! We went to the 3D Clash of the Titans, then Red Lobster for dinner. Here's our 3D glasses! we're so fancy.

Easter Time

Happy Easter!!

Sunday was Tytan's first Easter!! He didn't really understand what was going on, but we had fun anyways.

He got a big book of Disney stories, and a stuffed sheep. He loves the book, it's so cute - he babbles along while I read it to him and he smiles big at the pictures. But he doesnt quite know what to do with the sheep yet!

I was so happy with how his Easter basket turned out; I took an old basket my sister was throwing out and made it fancy! It was green, purple and yellow with "build-a-bear" around the middle so I spray-painted it with a brownish-gold-metallic paint, then glued a light green/brown polka-dotted ribbon around the middle. Here's how it turned out!

April Fools!!!

So my first day back at work was on April Fools. Work went really well, it was nice to be back and get to see everyone. When I was getting ready to go home, we were talking about pranks that we could pull on people. Mike, Jessie and Jodi helped me set up a pregnancy test to read positive, and that was my prank on Jake! (I work in the lab at a Hospital, so it was chemicals, not someone else's piddle!) When I was driving home I called him and said that I had something for him, but that I thought he'd be a little bit mad. So when I go home he was like, "What did you do?" and I told him "Something happened with my birth control - I wasnt feeling all that great today, so I stopped by my Doctor's and she did a routine pregnancy test... and... I'm pregnant." and I held up the positive test. His eyes got sooo huge!!! He just sat there for a second, then said "No way, are you sure? really?" Then I started laughing and tossed the test at him, and he said "Oh!!! I totally believed you! All I could think was, Oh man... poor Maddie..." I was laughing so hard, because I finally scared Jake, which I NEVER get the chance to do; he's the one that always gets me!!

1st day back at work!

I'm so sad!!! I'm headed to work in just a couple of minutes, my first day back since Tytan was born... boo. Jake and Tytan are both still sleeping, they look so sweet - I'm glad jake can watch him the first few days I'm at work, that makes it a little easier... now his first day of daycare; That's another story!! I'll probably drive Jake nuts today with texts seeing how my baby is! Oh well.
